Not at all. Most of our Essex clients find the sensation quite relaxing. It feels like a light scraping or brushing against the skin; there is no pain and no need for numbing cream.

If you have an active, inflammatory acne breakout, we recommend waiting until the skin has cleared before having Dermaplaning. However, it is excellent for fading the post-inflammatory scars left behind by previous breakouts.

There is zero downtime. You can return to your normal activities in Grays immediately. We simply advise that you avoid direct sun exposure and wear a high-factor SPF, as your 'fresh' skin will be more sensitive to UV rays.
