CHEMICAL PEELS

Chemical Peel:  £50

Medical Chemical Peel: £85

Chemical peels are cosmetic treatments that can be applied to the face, hands, and neck, they can be used alone or combined with other treatments, such as skin needling at 2-week intervals.

They are used to improve the appearance or feel of the skin. During treatment, chemical solutions will be applied to exfoliate, remove the top layers of the skin and stimulate the growth of new cells. Once this happens, the new skin underneath is often smoother, appears less wrinkled, and has less damage.

With a superficial or medium peel, you will need to have more than 1 peel to get the desired results. We recommend having a course of 4-6 treatments, once every 2 weeks and then a peel every 2-3 months if using alone.

Chemical peels can be used at different depths, from superficial to deep. Deeper chemical peels offer more-dramatic results but also take longer to recover from.

There are a number of reasons people get chemical peels. They may be trying to treat a variety of things including:

  • Wrinkles and fine lines

  • Sun Damage

  • Acne Scars

  • Hyperpigmentation

  • Scars

  • Melasma

  • Uneven Skin Tone or Redness

There are 3 different types of chemical peels that you can get. These include:

  • Superficial Peels - These provide a subtle improvement over time and are completed as a course of treatments. The outermost layer of skin is removed. This may be best if you have fine wrinkling, acne, uneven skin colouring or dry, rough sun-damaged skin to promote a healthy glow. Recovery from this type of peel may be within hours to a few days but with little to no downtime.

  • Medium Peels - These give your skin a smooth, fresh look. The outermost layer and the upper part of your middle skin layers are removed. This choice may be best if you have uneven or moderate skin colouring, age spots, acne scarring or fine-to-moderate wrinkles. Recovery from this type of peel may take a week or more and require some downtime.

  • Deep Peels - These produce the most dramatic results. This chemical peel penetrates down to the lower middle layer of your skin. Recovery time is longer with a deeper peel. This choice may be best if you have moderate lines and wrinkles, extensive sun-damaged skin and deep acne scars. A deep chemical peel is a one-time-only treatment if applied to your face and DOES have significant downtime.
