IPL ACNE
Intense Pulse Light (IPL) For Acne
IPL treatments, use short pulses of intense light, that are emitted from an applicator onto your skin. Specific wavelengths of light target bacteria, as well as inflamed sebaceous glands that contribute to breakouts of spots, hugely reducing the total number and severity of active spots and removing the inflammation and occurrence of breakouts. Treatments are suitable for men and women and all skin tones.
The light stimulates the production of new collagen to improve skin texture and can also reduce the appearance of red or brown areas of skin that are often associated with acne breakouts.
Acne scarring can affect both the colour and texture of the skin. Scarring often creates uneven pigment. Because intense pulsed light can target pigment cells, IPL treatments can be effective for evening out discolouration, which may reduce the visibility of acne scars and gives the apperance of a more uniform skin surface.
IPL will not smooth out raised scars or decrease the depth of indented scars, but we do offer Skin Needling treatments that will do this.
Our advanced technology machines are medical grade, Crystal Freeze registered devices and FDA cleared. We are Core of Knowledge and Safety Certified, as well as fully qualified to undertake these treatments.
