CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) INFECTION PREVENTION & CONTROL POLICY

Covid-19 Policy Bella Mai

All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

I have missed being able to offer you the treatments that I know you love, and I am looking forward to seeing you again as soon as possible.

My priority is to keep you and me as safe as possible. Prior to re-opening the clinic, I have implemented a number of changes that I would like to make you aware of. While the clinic has been closed, I have completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course, which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry. I have since made a number of changes in the way that we operate that you will notice when you next visit.

I continue to deliver treatments at the highest possible standards. Safety is our top priority and always has been; however, I have now introduced additional measures during COVID-19

Booking Appointments:

If I feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, I will self-isolate immediately and not come into the clinic. This may mean that I have to cancel your appointment at short notice. I appreciate that this may be inconvenient, but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled, you will be rescheduled as quickly as possible.

If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of COVID-19, please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE SALON FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. Our cancellation policy will be slightly relaxed during this time, and an additional appointment will be offered without hesitation.

Visiting the Clinic:

  • Prior to your appointment, you will be sent a COVID-19 form to complete. Please complete this as quickly as possible to avoid your booking from being cancelled.

  • Please call us once you arrive, so we can let you in. For your safety and to maintain social distancing, I ask that you attend your appointments as close to the appointment time as possible. Please do not turn up early for appointments, as this may mean you come into contact with other clients who are just leaving or are in the middle of our clean-down process. If you are early, please wait in your car or outside.

  • I have increased the frequency of cleaning in the clinic, including ensuring that common surfaces, door handles, etc., are wiped clean with disinfectant between each client's arrival. All tools and equipment will be disinfected, sterilised or disposed of in line with our current protocols. Wherever possible, we will utilise environmentally friendly, single-use items during treatment, which will be disposed of safely after use to protect you from cross-infection.

  • You will have access to soap and hot water to wash your hands with as soon as you enter the clinic, and we will also have hand sanitiser available for you to use when you come into the salon.

  • I understand and will not be offended if you wish to wear a face mask or disposable gloves when you visit the clinic and during your treatment, if appropriate.

  • Please arrive wearing a face mask that fully covers your nose and mouth. Due to shortages, we only have enough for the staff.

  • Please do not bring food or drink into the clinic, and arrive with only the essentials. As you arrive, your therapist will be ready, so you can go straight through to the treatment area after calling.

  • I am working on a strict appointment-only basis. Please do not pop in to see us without prior arrangements.

  • Consultations will continue to be conducted online, with patch tests posted out unless this is not possible in certain circumstances, in which case an appointment will be made for you.

Your treatments:

We have carried out a full risk assessment on all treatments, and I am confident that I can continue to provide these safely. However, you may notice a delay in some treatments returning until we are confident that the risks remain minimal.

During your treatment:

I understand the importance of hand hygiene, and I will ensure that I wash my hands in accordance with NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment, as will we all.

I will try to make your treatment as safe, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatments, please let me know, and I will do what I can to satisfy you.

After the treatment:

Any aftercare bags will be safely assembled prior to your appointment and will be available for you to collect at the end of the service.

All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and mine. We will continue to follow advice from the Government and the NHS on safe practices and will amend it as necessary.

Thank you for your understanding.
